Thighja (Fire Emblem Roulette Morph) by Morphy-McMorpherson Thighja (Fire Emblem Roulette Morph) by Morphy-McMorpherson
Just a silly morph of the splash art for Tharja from Fire Emblem: Heroes. A friend gave me some money to buy some orbs for summoning, so I let her pick one of the characters I summoned and how they wanted them to be expanded. I am not above bribing! >.<

Fire Emblem Heroes is owned by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems.

How where your photoshop skills this good this whole time?

I'd expect someone with skills like these to actually use them for their art.

I'm consider my self quite well versed in photoshop, and I have to say I'd love to see your process.

your clearly creating clean duplicates of the elements you want to morph as to not distort the rest of the image, but outlines seem too clean for using liquefy. Normally I'd expect to see thin stretched outlines, and less gradation in the areas being morphed.

Thanks. I actually use my morphing skills in most to all my work (smooth edges, clean the lines, and modify shapes that would be too annoying/time consuming to correct in 3d) so I'm happy you can't tell lol. My position towards morphing is to try to make the quality so high that it hard to tell it's a morph (besides the increase in size).

Liquefy is a great tool for getting the shape down, but if it's the only tool used it becomes pretty apparent and sloppy.

For sure, for sure, I try to limit it as much as possible, and have almost abandoned it, unless I'm looking to alter the shape along with the increase in volume. For the most part I use pen paths for the most brutally accurate masks I can produce, then I tend to use asymmetrical transforms to achieve the expansion, and do any clean up with liquefy.

But going by your other pics of this nature, you do far more then that as my process would begin to break down by the time I reached something along the lines of your Lissa.

Also, your hips here, how did you pull those off, I would normally try to use liquefy to achieve that effect, but I would have likely stop sooner then you did, before I began distorting the image too much, and too much of the surrounding area. It seems like you didn't just cut out her bodyshape off the background, but the cloak as well to allow it to distort with her, but leave the background alone.

I actually cut the cloak and had it by itself on the top most layer so I could adjust and contour it around the form of her upper leg but still lay over the mid-thigh, then redrew and reshaded the hips after I got the shape right.

What do you mean redrew. I can't imagine that you re-approximated the original art that closely if it was a particularly substantial amount of the leg you had to recreate. I think at that point you would be posting your own original art, as opposed to morphs.

Also I noticed something, maybe you don't care, maybe your like me and would if you saw it, but her central buckle has been warped by when you expanded her thighs inward. Honestly you could duplicate it by copying the original one on the left and dropping it over, as it is now smaller then it was.

You a fan of deletes, or masks, or selected duplicate layers. I usually use selected duplicate layers, flowed by deletions and erasers if I have some exes image that I want to be rid of, I try to uses masks more, but I always forget unless I get really complex with what I'm doing.

I can do some minor redrawing if it's simple enough. It's more apparent here: Ninian (Fire Emblem Roulette Morph) by Morphy-McMorpherson Count how many snow flakes are on the original belt vs the morph, also notice the expanded breast visible through the semi-transparent clothing around her left arm.
